In this graphic novel, one of those monsters is feeling a little under the weather. An old inventor and a young paperboy help him find what he's missing.

This graphic novel is colorful and the print is large. It was really nice to read on the computer. This story is for all ages. It has the fun and excitement for the younger audience, but some adult humor thrown in there. I think it has the feel of a modern animated film. I could see Ricky Gervais voicing the main monster, Rayburn.

This is a fun, easy read with an interesting world. I would love to see this on the big screen. I give this graphic novel a 4/5.

A well written story accompanied by fantastic artwork. The story is somewhat short but that is an innocuous detail that should not dissuade anyone from giving this a read. I just enjoyed it so much it should have lasted longer.
My 8 year old son loves this book so much we bought it for two of his friends for birthday presents. A wonderful story and full of humor.
This graphic novel is outstanding. Rob Harrell is a very talented artist. The pages are well designed. Our 9 year old really liked this book. I highly recommend it. The characters are all well-developed and most are likeable (save the nefarious Murk). This could easily become a series and/or an animated film. For those of you with kids, this book is well priced for a "go-to" birthday gift for your child or their buddies.
I read this to my kids and they loved it, all the while I enjoyed the reading the story too. It has good humor and good flow all through it. My kids have requested it 3 times now, so it is still fun after having read it multiple times (though it does gradually lose some excitement for the adult reading it).
Wonderful, wonderful book! Every time my son and I read this book, whether he's reading it to me or vice versa, we enjoy great chuckles and even a belly laugh or two. The pictures are charming, the characters well-drawn and lovable, and the storyline brilliant with a really nice twist at the end. Love the concept and love the story. Highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys upbeat graphic novels.
My 8 yo boy who doesn't like to read read this about 10 times before returning it to the library. The librarian told me he asked to keep it so I bought him this copy from . I suppose my review is meant to convey, "So good, even the video game playing,sports loving boys will take some time out to settle down enough to read a book. Or at least this book.

Bought this for my kid's 7th BD. I read it to him tonight. Ordinarily, I try NOT to read an entire book to him in one sitting but I could tell that resistance was futile tonight. He was so engrossed by the story, the characters, the artwork and humor it would have been cruel for me to quit. It took less than an hour to read about 200 pages. A word of warning for those parents that don't like curse words or even words like "sucks". This book has "hell" a few times and sucks just once. As in, "Mom, our monster sucks doesn't he." "Yes, son he does." LOL I mean come on, live a little. Don't let a few little words ruin what could be a great bonding time between you and your child. Written with a bit of Cockney accent, it helps to be able to imitate the English while reading.
