I read the first 5 or 6 books of the "Clans of Kalquor" series before I realized that this series is out there. I wish that I would have found these so that I could read the "Clan Beginnings" book before the corresponding book in the "Clans of Kalquor". I have not been able to find a reading order list for these 2 series and I hope the author will publish that. In the meantime, I am trying to look at the characters in each and/or see any note the author made to try to match them up.

You may not be into MM sex books, but if you have read any of the "Clans of Kalquor" series you'll probably enjoy these as well. This series is about how the 3 males clanned. (The other series is how the 3 males in the clan find their female, the Matara.) There are a lot of sex scenes here, as I've come to expect with this author's books and they are steamy beyond belief. I find that the books are more about the relationship between the characters, finding the ones that you want to spend the rest of your life with. Yes, there is lust and the sex scenes are on fire. After all, you are talking about 3 types of Kalquorians with alpha personalities. It's hot.

The action in the books of both series is fantastic. There is always something that causes you to lean forward, eager to turn the page and see what's going to happen next. The action usually doesn't pick up to the "nail biting" stage until halfway through the story, though, which is really my only complaint with the books in both series. It's always worth waiting for, though.

I've purchased every book in both series and I feel it's one of the best set of books I've purchased. They are all on my "repeat reading" shelf. Enjoy!

Clan Beginnings, the back stories on the clans we have already met, is a great addition to the series. St. John writes a good story and they keep getting better. The books may contain the expected sex scenes but more importantly, they have a story line with real purpose and character developement.

This is only the second book I have ever read that builds on a total same sex relationship. The other was the first clan beginnings story also by St. John which I purchased at the same time. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy them but due to the other books in the series I wanted to know more about these characters and their clans so I took a chance. I could hardly put the book down.

Ultimatly it boils down to a great story about people coming together to build a life together. Needless to say, I enjoyed clan Gelan, Wynhod and Krierjo's story.
Oh, wow! This is one of the best love stories ever. Krijero has won my heart, and the other two guys doesn't fall far behind. A must read, even though there is almost too much violence towards the ending for my personal taste. On my second read (had to do that) of this book, I skipped that most brutal part, it hurt too much to re-read. This book is one of those I wish I could go back in time and read for the first time once again. You wont regret it if you pick it up. I hope Tracy St. John continues to come up with new Clan Beginning stories, can't wait to read more!
the past history of the clan of Gelan is FINALLY revealed and it is not to be missed!

This is a prequel for "Alien Slave" (Clans of Kalquor #5) on how Gelan, Wynhod, & Krijero met and formed their clan prior to ever meeting Dani.

Dramok Gelan is assigned as the lead investigator to find and break up whoever is behind the manufacturing of delir, a highly addictive drug that ends in the hallucinagenic psychotic paranoia of the individual to the degree that they kill their family, friends, and/or clan members.

Nobek Wynhod is partnered with Gelan after Gelan's partner is gunned down in a sting operation. Wynhod & Galen have history and it's not long before old passions are rekindled and the two contemplate clanning.

Imdiko Krijero is the psych member of the task force who is underestimated because of his klutzy and sloppy demeanor. But underneath all that is a genius who has a theory on who is behind the drug distribution gang activity. He's finally able to convince Gelan & Wynhod to listen to him but is it because they believe him or want him as they playmate to be discarded when they get bored with him.

Excellent mmm erotica read that is smoking hot along with a mystery action adventure premise that rocks. Truly a roller coaster of a ride in that there is the central plot of the courtship of Gelan, Wynhod, and Krijero, a subplot about the illegal drug activity and police work surrounding that, a backstory of life experiences that affect the present day actions of certain characters, and the sexual chemistry between three smoking hot aliens from a warrior class race.

Loved this book. If you do read it and want to know what the future holds for these three make sure to check out "Alien Slave" book 5 in the 'Clans Of Kalquor' series where they meet Dani.
